After 10 years in law enforcement, I'm retired and living in Texas Hill Country. These days I photograph sunsets, back roads and wildlife, and share a little Texas wisdom along the way.

None of it gets done alone. God, friends and family carry a lot of the load. Thank you for stopping by.

  • “My life's currently like a south Texas gravel road but, I'm getting close to town.”

Then & now

On duty. Off duty.

Ten years of night shifts and blue hours. Now I chase the golden ones.

Off duty: a big low sun over hazy rolling hills, soft golden light. On duty: deep blue twilight with streaks of colorful cloud.
